iUN - Application for Academic Activities Support
iUN is an Android application developed by iUNDev - Mario Armando Higuera G. to provide support for academic activities at the National University of Colombia. The app aims to provide the community with information about the university and the academic, research, and extension services it offers. It also facilitates the academic, administrative, and recreational activities of the university by tuning them to the increasing use of mobile devices. Additionally, it provides a guidance system at the headquarters of the university nationwide, giving uniqueness to the set of management applications and websites of the National University of Colombia. The app encourages the restructure or upgrading of some platforms and services of the National University of Colombia and involves the community of Alma Mater in a project of the UN, for the UN and the world.
The latest version, iUN 2.8, has updated the input interface to the app and includes the database of institutions for the submission of the examination for admission to the National University of Colombia. It also links new services associated with support organizations and welfare and includes the search for buildings. Moreover, it includes the terms of use and license, the university hymn, and Geo-walls of the headquarters of the National University of Colombia. Overall, iUN is a useful application for students and faculty of the National University of Colombia to access information and support academic activities.
